How it works:
 
Hälsa  Resistance  Poles  have  a unique mechanism that adds 13lbs/ 6kgs of resistance to your upper body while walking.  When using the poles you simply push down on the cushion grips with each stride.  The further you push  the  poles,  the  greater  the  resistance and the better the workout you will get.

Resistance walking is suitable for people of all ages.
 
Getting started:
 
Adjust the length of your poles so that the top of the  handle  is aligned with your underarm.

Choose the appropriate foot for the type of training you are doing: rubber foot for normal road and track use; metal stud for trail and winter walking.  Add the circular basket for loose surfaces such as snow and beach sand.

Put your hand through thestrap from underneath and grip on to the handle.  Now you are ready to go!

    I find that the poles help my posture . I am more surefooted, and have less pain in my hips, back, and knees. I am walking much better.

    II was able to walk 45 min. my first day with the poles. I walked straighter , and there was less pressure on my hips and knees.

    I am trying to figure out if there is an adjustment for the resistance, or it's always set the same. I love the poles. they make me want to go out and walk. (and i get a lot of other walkers asking me questions about the poles. I wonder if I can travel with them on an airplane....

    I am a senior with several physical limitations and have had trouble finding a good exercise program that will not aggrevate my condition. The first day I used it I had difficulty getting into a "gate", but after a few days I found it easier and am very happy that I am getting an improved workout while walking a mile each day. Hopefully I can work up to two miles (maybe).
